On Today’s Show...
Ash Wednesday and for lent about the only treat I have that I can give up is the piece of cake I have with a coffee at 8pm at night, so there that’s crisps, all chocolate, biscuits and now cake that I’ve given up!
It’s official I can run and toss quicker than Oakey and Ian, thanks for coming along to the 2nd Great Hinckley pancake race, I missed the name of the eventual winner but we was about 18, thin as a rake and wearing pink panamas, I didn’t stand a chance did I?
We are just one month from the April Budget and because we have seen a slight improvement to the nations figure already there are calls for tax cuts, bit soon?
Can't believe they cut Adele short last night at the Brits, unbelievable and unforgivable there were some amazingly well dressed women there though, what stood out for you?
Form a queue. Volunteers wanted for four-month experiment to create astronaut diet (from a beach in Hawaii) A camp will simulate what daily life would be like for astronauts on Mars - and come up with meal plans to sustain them on the inhospitable red planet. I thought there wasn't much water on Mars never mind a sea?
I was accosted outside a shop last night by a teenager, "Going in the shop mate”, "Er Yes” "Can you buy...” "If it’s cigarettes the answer is no!” "Ok doesn’t matter”
Oh look 20,000 special ones will be invited to have a go at not getting ticket to the Olympics again in April, I’m so over all this trying to get tickets lark. No thanks, you can give mine to someone else.
The next BIG talent show has released Pictures from the set of The Voice, which airs later this year. The format of the show consists of three competitive stages. First up is the 'Blind Audition', where contestants will perform from behind a screen, the second round will be referred to as the 'Battle Phase', when acts will compete against each other. The final 'Live Performance' segment will follow the traditional public vote format. I’m guessing the acts will perform behind the judges as it’s all about the voice not looks which is why the chairs are so large.

BRITS
It’s amazing how critical 13 and 14 year old girls can be, on Coldplay opening the show, "what have they been painting with fluorescent paint” On Bruno Mars with his live band version of Just the way you are "What’s this?”, must be honest I love that style he has, and does anyone else this he is the love child of Prince? Also "Why is Olly singing off key, he was much better in the X Factor.” "Can you fast forward over the Florence rubbish” I by the way thought she was great. "Why is Jenson Button presenting a music award”, good point. And "Has George Michael had too much cough Medicine”, lets’ not go there. And finally on the style of the actual BRIT statue, ”What on earths that it’s hideous, make it out of gold”, well if I remember......
Here’s that well know painting firm Coldplay and Sons performing 'Charlie Brown' at the Brit Awards last night
Best bits for me were the interruptions of James Cordon with people walking between him and the camera and One Direction thanking Radio 1 for their Best Single award when it was listeners to a Capital FM and I Tunes who voted, whoops!
Note to self, not invite Rihannas decorators to do the house.
The big story today from last night was Adele being cut very short on her acceptance speech for the BIG award of the night best album, note to producers, don’t let an under rehearsed group, Blur, use valuable time with a boring list of thank yous. Good news on that front I’d recorded it and it stopped after the 2nd of a 5 song set.
