Dee Bahra

Deedar’s media career dates back to the l980s when she was a presenter of an educational programme in the midlands. She then went onto produce and present programmes across the UK. She has extensive senior management experience in the youth and community field and in the media. She has also worked as an independent Diversity Consultantant and helped with the recruitment processes across the country.

Under the category of Arts, Dee has won the Millennium Achievers Award 2000 for her involvement in the radio, won other special awards for her achievement in the media and in the youth and community field of lifelong learning and very recently she has assisted with the voiceovers of a film in Hindi, Panjabi and Urdu for Guide Dogs.

She has also received a special award for her contribution in the organisation of very successful community events here in Loughborough from the International Students Association of the University of Loughborough. She is part of Oak FM team with the Asian Connections show – catch her Sunday 7pm – 10 pm
